Music Curricular and Instrumental Lessons
John XXIII College Music Department is a thriving and diverse department, providing courses for Pre Primary to Year 12 and a vibrant and busy co-curricular program.
Music is offered as a part of the curriculum from Pre Primary to Year 12. It is a compulsory subject from Pre Primary to Year 7. At Years 8, 9 and 10, students can choose from a variety of options including Music. At Year 11 the ATAR Music Course (Units 1 and 2) is offered and in Year 12 ATAR Music (Units 3 and 4) is offered.
A comprehensive instrumental program is offered at the College and over 400 students enrol in lessons annually. Enrolling a child in music lessons requires an enrolment form to be submitted to the Music Office (please refer to the link below - Enrolment forms). Enrolments are processed towards the end of each Semester. The closing date for enrolments/withdrawals is two weeks before the end of each Semester.
Please note: Enrolment in music lessons through the College assumes the responsibility of the student to miss a class for a 30 minute block.

Please note: Music withdrawals are processed at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.
