John XXIII College Parent Volunteer Groups
John XXIII College has parent-organised clubs that are supported by the College.
'Men of John XXIII' : Providing a Fathering / Father-Figure Network
The Men of John XXIII initiative was established under the principles of The Fathering Project (established by former WA Citizen of the Year and John XXIII parent Dr. Bruce Robinson) to enhance the fathering experience at John XXIII College.
For more information and background on the Fathering Project, visit the website: thefatheringproject.org/about-the-fathering-project
All John XXIII College fathers and father figures are encouraged to enter their email details on this website to receive weekly fathering tips.
Parent Volunteer Groups in Sport
Parent volunteers are involved in the running of the club and all parents participate in the club's activities in some way. Throughout the rowing season, volunteers are involved in fundraising to help the club purchase new boats and equipment as well as coordinating College regattas over the year.
This is run entirely by parent volunteers and funded through registration fees. The main role of volunteers is coordination of grading, training and participation throughout the Netball WA season.
This is a volunteer parent group that supports performing arts throughout the school year, such as the annual musical, musical soirees and drama performances.
FOMAD volunteers are the key organisers and supporters of the music and drama departments, especially in areas of intermission, refreshments, front-of-house and backstage support.
These events showcase the talent within the College community and provide invaluable performance experience for the students. Supporting these occasions is a great way to encourage children, make new friends, get to know other families and become a part of the John XXIII College community.
