Learning Enrichment
The Learning Enrichment Department at John XXIII College provides additional support to secondary students to realise their full learning potential ― both curricular and co-curricular.
In support of our College mission, we aim to provide a flexible and welcoming environment to enhance the learning journey and overall development of our students.
Emphasis is placed on providing literacy and numeracy support across all year levels in small groups, on an individual basis or in mainstream classes. Assistance is also provided to students with special needs in mainstream classes through a team of Education Assistants. Applications for special conditions in tests, assessments and examinations for eligible students are coordinated by this department.
Every year, students also get the opportunity to extend themselves in the international Tournament of Minds competition in Language Literature, Maths Engineering, Social Sciences and Applied Technology. For the College's gifted students, the Magis program is available where we work towards the growth of the whole person in relation to every student in the College.
In addition, the department prides itself on accommodating students when experiencing illness, personal or family hardships or physical or learning difficulties.
